Users can directly add contents from a collection listing as well as results from a search, to a new list/playlist. 


Creating a playlist/list from search results


The search box is available on every page on the website at the top right hand side of the page. Type in a search term into the text box and click on the search link.

 

               



The system displays all the returned results for the searched keyword(s). Users can use the filer options on the left-side to narrow down the search results to the desired requirement. 




To add the titles displayed currently in the search results to a new playlist, click on the Actions link and select the Convert to List option. 




The user will received a confirmation of the playlist creation. The list will be named automatically as per the date and time of the search. Users can visit the Playlists/Lists management interface to make edits to the List name and contents.

Note: Currently this feature create and add only the first 50 displayed results into a playlist. Users are requested to use other available methods to add more than 50 items at a time.




Creating a playlist/list from Collection listings


Users can create a playlist/list from the objects in a NJVID collection or sub-collection. Navigate and select a collection or a sub-collection to display its contents. 



To convert the objects in the collection listing to a playlist/list, click on the Actions link and select the Convert to List option. 




The user will received a confirmation of the playlist creation. The list will be named automatically as per the collection name and time of the playlist request. Users can visit the Playlists/Lists management interface to make edits to the List name and contents.


Note: Currently this feature creates and add only the first 50 items in a collection to a playlist. Users are requested to use other available methods to add more than 50 items at a time.
