Where available, users can add closed caption files for their uploaded media content.  The captions will appear in the player and will be shown in sync with the video.


Note: Accepted input formats for closed captions are SRT and TT-XML formats


Add Closed Captions during Media Upload

 

Users can provide closed caption files during media upload using the 'Closed caption' option under the 'Resources' tab, on the 'Add Media' page. 





    Users can upload more than one caption tracks in multiple languages. Click on the Upload button to select the corresponding .srt or .xml file from your computer. Select the language of the caption track and provide a label name denoting the language of the captions.




    If the captions are valid, the captions will be shown in the video player, once the media is available on the website.



    Add Closed Captions to Existing Media

     

    Users can provide closed caption files to an existing media resource. Select the media from the listing under the dashboard menu, to which a  closed caption file has to be added.

     

     

     

     

    On clicking the title, the user will be directed to the 'Edit Object' page for that uploaded media.


     

     

    Click on the Upload button and select Add subtitle file from the drop-down. Navigate and select the corresponding SRT or TT-XML file from your computer. Select the language of the caption track and provide a label name denoting the language of the captions.

     

    If the captions are valid, the captions will be shown in the video player, once the media is available on the website.
